Answer:

Given :-

OR, OP & OQ =4cm are the radius of the circle.

AQ = 8cm

BQ= 6cm

Construction :-

Join OB.

Solution :-

LET IN OBQ, that is a right angled ⛛

OQ =4cm

BQ= 6cm

OB=??

By Pythagoras theorem,

OQ²+BQ²=OB²

4²+6²=OB²

52=OB²

Now,

OP = 4cm

OB =(52) ^1 /2

PB =??

⛛OPB is right angled triangle,

By Pythagoras theorem,

OP²+PB²=OB²

4²+PB²=52

PB² = 52-16=36

PB = 6cm

As OR=CP=RC=OP so ORCP is a square ,

Therfore CP=4 cm

Hence,

BC =CP+ BP

BC=4 + 6 cm

BC = 10cm

Now in ⛛ABC,

AB=8+6=14cm

BC = 10cm

As it is right angled triangle ⛛,

By Pythagoras theorem,

AC²+BC²=AB²

AC²+10²=14²

AC² = 14²-10²=96

AC \:  = 4 \sqrt{6} cm
