Given : Dividing a number by 3, 5, 7, respectively, leaves 2, 4 and 4 respectively.

To Find : divide that number by 105, what is the remainder?

Solution:

N = 3A  + 2

N = 5B + 4

N = 7C  + 4

=> N =  35D + 4

    N   = 3A   + 2  

35D + 4  = 3A   + 2

D = 2 ,  A = 24

N = 74  

 

Hence remainder on Dividing by 105 is 74
