Answer:

A mirror is a smooth surface where regular reflection of light occurs according to the rules of reflection . Mirrors are usually made of glass with a metal coating on one side because glass is a transparent and rigid object. The opposite side of the glass where silvering is done is also called mirror surface or reflective surface. Much of the amount of light that falls on the reflecting surface of the mirror is absorbed by the surface and the rest is reflected. Although silverware on one side is best as a mirror, the surface of any well-polished object can behave like a mirror.

Types

The image of a convex mirror. Such mirrors are commonly used on motorcycles and which help the rider to see from one side.

There are two main types of mirrors

Plane mirrors

When a plane surface is smooth and reflects light regularly, it is called a plane mirror . [1] For example, the mirror used to see one's own face is a flat mirror.

Spherical mirrors

A spherical mirror isa smooth sphere that reflects light regularly on the surface of a sphere. [1] Spherical mirrors can be further divided into two parts, namely, convex mirrors and concave mirrors.

Convex mirror

If the convex surface of a sphere behaves like a reflector, it is called a convex mirror . That is, the outer convex surface of the spherical mirror acts as a convex mirror. It is called a divergent mirror.

 Concave mirror.

If the concave surface of a sphere behaves like a reflector, it is called a concave mirror . That is, the inner concave surface of the spherical mirror acts as a concave mirror.

mage If a ray of light emitted from a certain point is reflected or reflected and meets at a second point or appears to be moving away from a second point, then that second point is called the first point image. For example, when we place an object in front of a flat mirror such as a mirror, we see the reflection of that object in the mirror. It seems to us that the object is behind the mirror, but in fact the object is in front of the mirror, so the image we see of the object in the new position for the mirror is the image of the object. The image formed in a plane mirror is always equal to the light source, the image in a convex mirror is always smaller than the light source but in the case of a concave mirror the size of the image can be smaller, larger or equal depending on the focus of the source i.e. perpendicular distance from the mirror. Two types of images; * Real image and * unreal image
