ਝਾਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਨਿਡਰ ਰਾਣੀ, ਰਾਣੀ ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਬਾਈ, 1857 ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਮੋਹਰੀ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤ ਸੀ। 19 ਨਵੰਬਰ 1828 ਨੂੰ ਮਣੀਕਰਣਿਕਾ ਤੰਬੇ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਰਾਣਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਮੇ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਬਣ ਗਈ।
