First we have to know the meaning of perimeter.

 \large \underline {\underline{ \texttt{Perimeter}}} =  \sf{sum \: of \: all \: sides}

First figure has sides⇢6cm,2cm,2cm,2cm,2cm,2cm,2cm,2cm.

So its perimeter will be 6+2+2+2+2+2+2+2=20cm

To find the unknown side in figure 2 we have to subtract 3 from 7

so 7-3=4cm

Second figure has sides⇢3cm,4cm,4cm,6cm,7cm

So perimeter will be 3+4+4+6+7=24cm
