એક ડોસો પોતાના વહુ-છોકરા સાથે શહેરમાં રહેવા ગયો . તે બહુ કમજોર હતો તેના હાથ ધ્રુજતા અને નજર પણ કમજોર હતી. તેમનું નાનું કુટુંબ હતુ જેમા ડોસાના દિકરાનો એક ચાર વર્ષ નો દીકરો પણ હતો. બધા એકસાથે બેસીને ડાઈનિંગ ટેબલ પર ખાતા હતા. પણ ડોસા કયારેક થોડુ કંઈક નીચે વેરી દેતા તો ક્યારેક તેમનાથી વાસણ પણ નીચે પડીને તૂટી જતુ. આ બધું જોઈને એક-બે દિવસ પછી વહુએ કહ્યું આ બધું શું છે, આપણે ક્યા સુધી આ બધુ સહન કરીશુ. આ નુકશાનને જોઈ છોકરાએ પણ તેની વાત સ્વીકારી. એક ખૂણામાં એક નાની ટેબલ મૂકાવી. તેના પર લાકડીનો વાટકો મુકયો જેથી પડે તો તૂટે નહી. હવે એ ડોસો ત્યાં બેસીને જ જમે અને બધા લોકો ડાઈનિંગ પર આ જોઈને ડોસાની આંખોમાં ક્યારેક આસૂ પણ આવી જતા.
