Heya!!!

DISTANCE:-

Distance covered by a body is the length of path traversed by that body for some spasfic time.

DISPLACEMENT:-

Displacement is defined as, the Shortest distance between two points or Co-ordinates of final point - Co-ordinates of intial point.

=>

let it covers a distance of d, when it is projected with a velocity of v.

At the top the velocity becomes zero, and the body starts falling back and it will cover same distance ( d ).

So, the total distance covered by body in whole journey is 2d.

> Displacement is zero in the whole journey of body because intial and final point coincides.

So, the ratio of Distance With displacement is = 2d/0 = ∞

Becoz Any thing divided by zero is ∞
