=> Only one reactant is involved in this reaction.

=> Decomposition reaction requires energy..in the form of heat, light and electricity.

=> Decomposition in the presence of light is called as Photochemical decomposition.

=> Decomposition in the presence of heat is called as Thermochemical decomposition

=> Decomposition in the presence of electricity is called as Electrolysis.

EX :
