any number should be write in standard form because this way we can write lengthy number in just a few space. also standard form is appropriate and not confusable rather than given number.

The rule, when writing a number in standard form is that first you write down a number between 1 and 10, then you write × 10(to the power of a number).

here number is 0.000000000947
you can see after decimal there are 12 number
so, just take one number before decimal and then, use 10^{-10}
e.g., 9.47 × 10^-10

Hello Mate!

Lets bring, 0.000000000947 into exponential form.

As 0s are moving from right to left then it means that 1000000000000 from 947.

Here, 12 zeros are coming where the all are in division. So we can write it as

= 947 × 10 ^ - 12

But according to rules of standard form we have to put decimal after first number i.e. 9. So we will reduce zeros accordingly.

= 947 × 10 ^ - 2 × 10 ^ - 10

= 947 × 1 / 100 × 10 ^ - 10

= 9.47 × 10 ^ - 10

Have great future ahead!
