Iodoform reacts with Ag-powder and forms acetylene gas.

chemical reaction is ....

2CHI_3+6Ag\rightarrow C_2H_2+6AgI

here it is clear that 2 mole of iodoform reacts with 6 mole of Ag powder and forms 1 mole of acetylene gas and 6 mole of silver iodide.

so,0.01 mole of iodoform forms 0.005 mole of acetylene gas.

now, n = 0.005 mole , R = 0.082 atm.litre/J.mol.K , T = 298K, P = 1atm

using gaseous equation,PV = nRT

or, 1 × V = 0.005 × 0.0082 × 298

V = 0.122 litre = 122 ml
