Let the molecular formula of the carbohydrate be equal to (CH2O)n

In 1 mole of carbohydrate, there is 2n×1=2n g of hydrogen present

So, 0.0833 mole of carbohydrate there is 2n×0.0833 g of hydrogen which is equal to 1 g

2n×0.0833=1

∴n=6

So, the molecular formula of the carbohydrate will be (CH2O)n

=(CH2O)6= (C6H12O6)
