1. Why is it better to use a divider and a ruler than a ruler only, while measuring the
length of a line segment?
Answers
Answer:
Because a divider has points at each end, they can be placed exactly at the ends of the segment you want to measure. Then, being careful not to disturb the reading, place one point exactly on the “1” line on a good quality rule and read the measurement at the other point, and subtract one inch (or cm, if it’s metric) to obtain the result.
To understand why this is the more accurate method, lay the rule against the line using your eyeball to line it up, then move your head back and forth sideways and see what parallax does to your observation.
The points on the divider take out the guesswork on both sides of the problem, the observation, and the transfer of that observation to the rule.
Answer:
We use divider or ruler because it gives perfect measurement. There will less chances in accuracy. And it help us measuring line segment with accuracy and error will be less .if draw a line segment. There chances will increase in correct ness.It is not correct for study
