The correct question should contain 0.1 M, 50 ml NaOH
Heya,
No. of moles of H+ given by HCl = 0.1 × 100 = 10 millimoles
No. of miles of OH- given by NaOH = 0.1 × 50 = 5 millimole
Hence, volume of H+ remaining after neutralisation = 5 millimole.
Total volume = 100 + 50 = 150 ml.
Molarity of H+ = no. of moles/volume = 5/150 = 1/30
Hence,
pH = -log(H+) = -log(1/30) = 1.52287874528
