0.1m solution of HF is a weak acid. but 5m solution of HF is strong acid due to higher concentrations of hydrogen ions.
- The pH of a solution determines its acidity. As the pH value increases acidity increases.
- Again as the concentration of the hydrogen ion increases the pH of the solution also increases.
- 0.1M solution of HF has low concentrations of hydrogen ions and 5M HF has a high concentration of hydrogen ions. That's why 5M HF is a strong acid.
