Given data : A 0.20 m vertical height of alcohol exerts a pressure of 1600 Pa. where, g = 10 m/s²

To find : density of alcohol, ρ = ?

Solution : a/c given data;

  • vertical length of column, h = 0.20 m
  • pressure of alcohol, P= 1600 pa

Now, by formula of presure

⟹ P = h * ρ * g

⟹ 1600 = 0.20 * ρ * 10

⟹ 1600 = 2 * ρ

⟹ ρ = 1600/2

⟹ ρ = 800 kg/m³

Answer : Hence, density of the alcohol is 800 kg/m³.
