It refers to the main objectives of management as it fulfill the economic goals of an organization. The main motive of a firm should be to use its manpower and other resources effectively and efficiently, to meet the financial objectives of a firm. Organizational Objectives include:

  • Survival - Its the basic aim of any firm to survive for a long period of time. Thus, in order to survive in the market, a company needs to earn enough revenue to meet the costs that would be incurred.
  • Profit - Merely, survival is not just enough. Management has to make sure that the company earns the profit. It is necessary for the successful performance of the firm and to meet any uncertainty of the company.
  • Growth - A business is required to develop and expand which can be measured in terms of increased sales, increase in number of products, segments, etc.

Social Objectives:

A business has a social responsibility to meet. Every business whether its a profit or non-profit organization it needs to include benefits for the society. It may include: Providing quality and environment-friendly products, providing job opportunities to the backward sections, providing basic facilities like building schools and hospitals for them, helps in raising standard of living, and many more.
