the third side of triangle is 18+10+x=48

28+x=48

x=48-28

x=20cm

by herons formula of area of triangle

 \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - c)(s - c)}

s=18+10+20/2

s=24

 \sqrt{24(24 - 18)(24 - 10)(24 - 20)}

 \sqrt{24(6)(14)(4)}

 \sqrt{8064}
