take
x=0.25(bar on .25)
if two decimal places are there multiply by 100
but first into 10
x*10=0.25*10
10x=2.5
10x*10=2.5*10
100x=25
then subtract the old values
100x-10x=25-2.5
90x=22.5
x=22.5/90

wvaish: It should actually be let x=0.2525 100x=25.2525 subtracting x on both the sides we get 99x=25 so x will be 25/99
Williambhullar: okk ..I had solved it

0.25(bar on 25)=25/99

wvaish: I was actually taught in my school a simple method of solving such kind of questions where the whole part is 0 and all the digits in the decimal part have a bar on them
Williambhullar: okkk .
wvaish: If there is such a kind of a question den u just write the whole decimal part in the numerator and in the denominator put how many digits are in the decimal part so many 9's
Williambhullar: thank you
wvaish: For example if it is 0.4(bar on 4)=4/9
wvaish: As only one digit is there so one nine
Williambhullar: okkk
wvaish: 0.55(bar on 55)=55/99 two nines as two digits
Williambhullar: okkk ..I understood. ..
wvaish: Ohk
