Answer:

x =  \frac{325}{3} and \: y =  \frac{100}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

0.2x + 0.1y = 25

Multiplying both the sides by 10

=> 2x + y = 250 ............(1)

And 2( x - 2 ) - 1.6y = 116

=> 2x - 4 - 1.6y = 116

=> 2x - 1.6y = 120

Multiplying both the sides by 10

=> 20x - 16y = 1200

=> 5x - 4y = 300 ...............(2)

Multiplying equation (1) by 4 and adding equation (2) in it., we have,

8x + 4y = 1000

5x - 4y = 300

---------------------

12x = 1300

x = 1300/12

 =  > x =  \frac{325}{3}

substituting x in equation (1)

 =  > 2 \times  \frac{325}{3}  + y  = 250 \\  =  >  \: y = 250 -  \frac{650}{3}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

 =  > y =  \frac{750 - 650}{3}

 =  > y =  \frac{100}{3}
