move a rock of mass 310 kg. The fulcrum is 20 cm
from the load. Calculate (a) the VR neglecting the
weight of the crow bar, (b) MA, (c) effort E and
(d) efficiency (Ans. 8, 8,387.5 N and 100 %)
4. In the above problem the weight of the bar is not
negligible. Its mass is 20 kg. The torque exerted by
this weight will reduce the effort required. (a) Calculate
this effort, equating torques, the VR is the same as the
dimensions remain the same as in problem 5.
(b) Calculate the actual MA and (c) actual efficiency
(d) Explain briefly if the law of conservation of energy​
