The Percentage of nitogen in the compound can be calculated as :

Weight of the organic compound = 0.3 g

Volume of 0.1 N H2SO4 required to neutralize ammonia = 30 ml

Therefore ,

30 ml of 0.1 N H2SO4 = 30 ml of 0.1 N NH3

NOW

1000 ml of NH3 = 14 g of ammonia

Thus,

30 ml of 0.1 NH3 = 14/1000 × 30 × 0.1 of nitogen

Therefore,

Percentage of nitogen in organic compound= 14/1000 × 30×0.1

×100/0.3

= 14 % .
