Given : Two poles PQ = 15 m and RS - 23 m stand on a ground

QS = 15 m

To Find : PR

Solution:

Draw  QT || PR   T is point on  RS

QT = PR   and   RT = PQ = 15  m

ST = RS - RT  = 23 - 15 = 8 m

in ΔQTS

QS²  = QT²  + ST²

=> 15² = QT² + 8²

=> QT² = 161

=> QT = 12.69 m

=> PR = 12.69 m
