Hi ,

It is given that ,

0.5( 4 - 2a ) = a - 1.8

multiply on both sides with 10,

we get

10 × ( 0.5 )[ 4 - 2a ] = 10( a- 1.8 )

=> 5( 4 - 2a ) = 10a - 18

=> 20 - 10a = 10a - 10

=> -10a - 10a = -10 - 20

=> -20a = -30

=> a = ( -30 )/( -20 )

Therefore ,

a = 3/2

a = 1.5

I hope this helps you.

siddhartharao77: Guruji..Small correction.. it should be 20 - 10a = 10a - 18.
