To find :  value of x

Solution : 0.05x = 4

To solve we will have to arrange like terms together of given equation

       0.5x + 0.9 = 0.45x + 4.9

⇒     0.5x - 0.45x = 4.9 - 0.9

⇒     0.05x = 4

⇒         x = \frac{4}{0.05}

To remove decimal we will multiply numerator and denominator by  100.

⇒          x = \frac{4\times 100}{0.05\times100}

⇒          x = \frac{400}{5}

⇒          x = 80

Hence, 80 is the  correct answer.

Given,

0.5x+0.9=0.45x+4.9

Here, we have to find the value of x

So, we have to identify the constant terms and variable terms

After that, we have to move the constant terms are R.H.S side and variable terms are L.H.S side

Now,

0.5x+0.9=0.45x+4.9

0.5x-0.45x=4.9-0.9

0.05x=4

x= \frac{4}{0.05}

x= 80

Therefore, the value of x is 80.
