1 ) Let x = 0.666.....----( 1 )

Multiply equation ( 1 ) with 10 , we

get ,

10x = 6.666...---( 2 )

Subtract equation ( 1 ) from ( 2 ) , we


get

9x = 6

x = 6/9---( 3 )

2 ) Let y = 0.777....----( 4 )

Multiply equation ( 4 ) with 10, we

get ,

10y = 7.777....------( 5 )

Subtract equation ( 4 ) from ( 5 ) , we

get ,

9y = 7

y = 7/9 -----( 6 )

3 ) Let z = 0.4777....---( 7 )

Multiply equation ( 7 ) with 10 , we

get ,

10z = 4.777...----( 8 )

Multiply equation ( 8 ) with 10 , we

get ,

100z = 47.777...---( 9 )

Subtract equation ( 8 ) from ( 9 ) ,

we get ,

z = 43/90 ---( 10 )

Now ,

= x + y + z

= 6/9 + 7/9 + 43/90

LCM ( 9, 9 , 90 ) = 90
