solution:-
let the number be = x

now
100% of x = x
&
1% of x = x/100
& 0.6 or
60 % of x = 60x /100 = 0.6x

according to question
0.6 of x = x-20

here 0.6 is the 60%of the number

=> 60% of x = x-20
=> 0.6x = x-20
=> x-0.6x = 20
=> 0.4 x = 20
=> 4x = 200
=> x= 50

the required number is 50 answer
