Given :   0.7x+0.3x=0.5x+6

To find : Solve for x

Solution:

 0.7x+0.3x=0.5x+6

=> x(0.7 + 0.3)  = 0.5x  + 6

=> x(1)  = 0.5x  + 6

=> x = 0.5x  + 6

Subtracting 0.5x from both sides

=> x  - 0.5x  = 0.5x + 6 - 0.5x

=> x(1 - 0.5)  = 6

=> 0.5x  = 6

Multiplying by 2 on both sides

=> 2 * 0.5x = 2 * 6

=> x = 12

x = 12
