0.9% Nacl solution is considered isotonic for RBC'S . If RBC'S are placed in 2% Nacl solution, what will happen to the cell? what is such a solution called?​

a red blood cell has a concentration of about 0.9% NaCl. if you put it in a 0.9% NaCl solution, it would be considered an isotonic solution and nothing would happen. a 0.1% NaCl solution would be hypotonic (less concentrated) and water would flow into the cell, causing it to swell and possibly burst.
