Let 0.9 bar = x


As there is 1 number under bar, multiply bu 10 on both sides

10x = 9.9 


Subtract x from both sides,

10x = 9.9 bar
 -x  = -0.9 bar

9x = 9 [bar cance]

x = 9/9

x = 1

Hence, 0.99999... = 1
