According to joules law of heating the heat produced in a resistor R when a current I flow through it for time T is given by expression :-
The heat produced in a resistor :-
- Is directly proportional to the square of current flowing through it .
- Is directly proportional to resistance.
- Is directly proportional to the time for which current flow through it .
The application of joules law of heating.
- It is used in heating element like electric heater.
- It is used in electric iron .
