Given:-

  • An artificial satellite is moving in a circular orbit of radius 42250 km.
  • Time= 24 hours.

To Find:-

  • Speed of satellite after 24 hours to revolve around the Earth.

Solution:-

For finding the speed of satellite ,first we need to find the distance that has been covered by satellite in 24 hour

\sf\huge \: distance = 2\pi  \times r

 =  > 2×3.14×42250km

 =  > 6.28 \times 42250km

 =  > 265464.58 km

We know that

\sf\huge \: speed =  \frac{distance}{time}

So,

Speed of Satellite =

 \frac{distance \: covered}{time \: taken}

 =  > v =  \frac{265464.58}{24}

 =  > v =  \frac{265464580m}{24 \times 60 \times 60s}

 =  > v =  3137m {s}^{ - 1}

∴The speed of satellite that it takes 24 hours to revolve around the earth is 3137m/s
