Answer:

Sahil's present age is 20 years, and Roomi's present age is 50 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Sahil's present age be x and Roomi's present age be y

Now,

5 years ago,

Sahil's age will be x - 5

Roomi's age will be y - 5

According to the Question,

y - 5 = 3(x - 5)

y - 5 = 3x - 15

y = 3x - 15 + 5

y = 3x - 10 ------ 1

Now,

10 years later,

Sahil's age will be x + 10

Roomi's age will be y + 10

According to the Question,

y + 10 = 2(x + 10)

y + 10 = 2x + 20

y = 2x + 20 - 10

y = 2x + 10 ------ 2

Now,

From eq.1 and eq.2 we get,

3x - 10 = 2x + 10

3x - 2x - 10 = 10

3x - 2x = 10 + 10

x = 20

Hence, putting x = 20 in eq.2 we get,

y = 2(20) + 10

y = 40 + 10

y = 50

Thus, Sahil's present age is 20 years, and Roomi's present age is 50 years.

Hope it helped and you understood it........All the best
