heyy mate!!!

let the fraction be x/ y

now, according to the first condition,

x+1/ y-1=1

by cross multiplication,

( x+1)=y-1

x-y= -1-1

x-y= -2.... (1)

now,

x/ y+1= 1/2

by cross multiplication,

2x= y+1

2x- y= 1....(2).

now multiplying equation (1) by 2,

2(x-y) = -2× 2

2x- 2y= -4.... (3)

by subtracting eq (3) from (2)

2x-y = 1

-2x + 2y= 4

y= 5

substititing value of y in eq (1)

we get,

x-y =-2

x-5= -2

x= 5-2

x= 3

therefore,

the required fraction is

x/y= 3/5
