Given:

Given note is Rs: 2000/- (which is bigger).

To find:

We need to write change to a bigger note using different denominations of currency notes or coins

Solution:

In India, we have different denominations of currency notes.

For example:

  • Rs: 500/- note
  • Rs: 200/- note
  • Rs: 100/- note
  • Rs: 50/- note
  • Rs: 20/- note
  • Rs: 10/- note

In question, they asked to write change to a bigger note using any 5  different denominations of currency notes.

So, we can use

  • 2 Rs: 500/- notes \longrightarrow It's value =2 \times500= Rs: 1000/-
  • 1  Rs: 200/- note   \longrightarrow It's value =1 \times200= Rs: 200/-
  • 6 Rs: 100/- notes  \longrightarrow It's value =6 \times100= Rs: 600/-
  • 2  Rs: 50/- notes   \longrightarrow It's value =2 \times50= Rs: 100/-
  • 5  Rs: 20/- notes   \longrightarrow It's value =5 \times20= Rs: 100/-

So, total value of above currency notes is =1000+200+600+100+100= Rs: 2000/-

Therefore, the change to the bigger note Rs: 2000/- is 2 Rs: 500/- notes, 1  Rs: 200/- note, 6 Rs: 100/- notes, 2  Rs: 50/- notes and 5  Rs: 20/- notes.
