They takes millions of years to be formed.
so once they gets completed we don't find it the next morning as like solar energy.
so it is called non renewable energy.

Fossil fuels are extracted from the depth of sea. they are made of fossils of dead land and sea animals.
these fossils are depleting day by day. also, the rate of consumption is very big.
thus these type of fuels take very long time to replenish. and thus are called non-renewable resources.
