Distance covered by a stone freely falling from rest after 2 seconds is given by


s=ut + 1/2at^2


Here initial velocity u = 0

a = acceleration due to gravity = 10m/s2

time t= 2s

s =( 0×2) + (0·5 × 10 × 4) = 20m
