A substance that cannot be separated into other kinds of matter by any physical process is known as Mixtures

properties of Mixtures are

1.A mixture may be homogenous or heterogeneous

eg:As air is homogenous and salt is homogenous.

2.The constituents of a mixture can be separated by physical methods such as filtration, sublimation etc.

3.The composition of a mixture is not fixed

4.A mixture has no definite melting point, boiling point etc.

5.No chemical reactions occurs in the formation of a mixture

geetanjali64: how
JustinaGomes: by the definition of element
JustinaGomes: learn all the definitions properly
geetanjali64: element is the correct answer
divya118342: compound is the right answer

Compound

Explanation:-

The compound is a chemical substance which is made up of two or more elements in the fixed ratio by mass.

Ex:- H2O, CO2, NO3 etc.

Properties of compounds :-

1) The compound is a chemical substance having different properties than its constituents.

2) Compound has their own chemical formula.

3) It cannot be broken down into simpler substance by any physical means.

4) It is a pure substance.

5) Compounds have fixed melting and boiling point.

The compound such as water cannot be separated by any physical means it can only separated by electrolysis.
