About 6 years ago I went through a time where I got very depressed, was drinking and eating a lot, and doing a lot of drugs. I couldn't get a job anywhere because of my criminal record.
I decided to sort my life out and get in the gym, so I got on a healthy regime, ran 7 miles a day and lost about 4 stone. I looked and felt amazing. And got a job as a lifeguard. I had disclosed my record.
I was asked to apply for a permanent role as I'd completed the 3 month trial and was now a fully fledged dolphin. I applied, but it was brought to the attention of my bosses, bosses, boss that I can a criminal record. I got the sack.
For the next week, I got very depressed again but decided to not let it stop me from bettering my life. On the way to the gym one day, I was walking down the high street. I saw a
“Hi, Lou?”
“Hello?”
“It's Pete. I'm wondering if you'd like to manage my shop? Come down tomorrow and I’ll give you the keys. No interview required.”
I'd obviously impressed him. I turned round to the lady and told her, “no worries! Got a job!”
The next day I went to get the keys and speak to the guy properly. Turns out that the shop was just a test run to see how it did in my area and

September 09, 2020 was, without a doubt, the luckiest day of my entire life.
Last Monday comes close, as I managed to fully submerge my iPhone in the dogs water bowl and by some act of Apple magic, it still works perfectly. I was lucky then. But I was luckier September 09.
It was the day I became a big sister.
How great are siblings? They’re the only people on earth who can really get your story. From the very beginning. They know all your ups and downs, they remember your phase. I can’t imagine what childhood would be like without siblings. for that matter.
We came from the same people and became two very different people. I’m thankful every day that he is my brother.
