  • The two main methods of irrigation are surface and sprinkler irrigation .
  • We need to grow crops because they are major source of food. They provide raw material for industries such as legumes, peas, vegetables etc. They are grown to maximize the use of land. They are also the source of income for farmers.
  • 1. Fertilizer is an inorganic chemical synthesized artificially while manure is a combination of inorganic and organic substances obtained naturally by decomposing cattle excreta, plant litter, and human wastes. 2. Fertilizer can add only a specific nutrient to the soil whereas manure can provide many useful.nutrients

Answer:

1) tubewell system

sprinkler system

2)for food purpose

3)manures are organic

whereas fertilisers are chemical

manures are easy to carry ,cheap and not rich specific nutrients whereas fertilisers are bulky so not easy to carry , expensive, and nutrients specific

4) so that they do not compete with the main crops for water sunlight and other nutrients

5)they increase the nitrogen fixation process leading to more nitrates and nitrites easily soluble in water in the soil leading to plant growth
