1) Semi autonomous bodies are the ones which are capable of producing their own proteins, because they have their own ribosomes, but still they depend on the nucleus for some amount of proteins

2)Membrane biogenesis is the process which involves the synthesis of cell membrane with the help of proteins and lipids. Endoplasmic reticulum is responsible for the synthesis of these membranes. ... Membranes of the cell altogether are called as endomembrane system.

The lipids and proteins are synthesised at the RER.
