Step-by-step explanation:

p=20 m

let x be value of length in metres

l = x

b = x-2

p = 2(l+b) -------(1)

putting values of l and b in (1)

p=2(x+x-2)

p=2(2x-2)

20m=2(2x-2)

10m=2x-2

2x= 10+2

x=12/2

x=6

l= 6 m

b=x-2=4m

ANSWER--

Length= 6, breadth= 4

Calculations

Perimeter of triangle= 20 cm

Let's take length= x

Breadth= x-2

Perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

2(x+{x-2})=20

x+(x-2)=20/2

x+(x-2)=10

2x-2=10

2x=12(10+2)

x=12/2

x= 6

Length= 6

breadth= length - 2, 4

ANSWER- Length= 6, breadth= 4

if we check 12+8=20, it is correct

I hope it helps
