STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION

We have

A + B -> C + D

Initially. 4 4 0 0

At equilibrium, 2 moles of the compound 'C' is formed hence, 2 moles are dissociated from LHS

i.e. A + B -> C + D (At equilibrium)

4-2 4-2 2 2

=2 =2

As we know

 k_{c} =   \frac{a \times b}{c \times d}  =  \frac{2 \times 2}{2 \times 2} = 1

Hence, equilibrium constant=1
