Photosynthesis:

The process by which plants use energy from the sunlight to create food for themselves.

The chemical equation explains the process

Energy in autotrophs is stored in the form of carbohydrates. The entire process  takes place in plant cells in the chloroplast.  The membranes that it takes place in are called thylakoid. Due to sunlight, the energy is converted to chemical energy-ATP as well as NADPH. Due to chemical reactions of ‘Calvin Cycle’, glucose is produce
