Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-
- One side(l) = 30 m
- One diagonal(d) = 34 m
ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-
- Area of the field
sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-
Now,
➦ In rectangle all angles are right angles.
So,
➢ By using Pythagoras Theorem, We get,
➨ (d) ² = (l) ² + (b) ²
Here,
➟ d = diagonal
➟ l = length
➟ b = breadth
So,
➛ On putting the above values in it, we get,
↦ (34)² = (30)² + (b) ²
↦ 1156 = 900 + b²
↦ b² = 1156 - 900
↦ b² = 256
↦ b = √256
↦ b = 16
Hence,
➦ Other side = 16 m
Now,
➦ Area of Rectangle = l × b
➦ l × b = 30 × 16
➦ l × b = 480 m²
➲ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ғᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀs :-
Rᴇᴄᴛᴀɴɢʟᴇ ➘
- Area = l × b
- Perimeter = 2(l + b)
- Diagonal (d) = √l² + b²
