Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • One side(l) = 30 m

  • One diagonal(d) = 34 m

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Area of the field

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Now,

In rectangle all angles are right angles.

So,

By using Pythagoras Theorem, We get,

(d) ² = (l) ² + (b) ²

Here,

d = diagonal

l = length

b = breadth

So,

➛ On putting the above values in it, we get,

(34)² = (30)² + (b) ²

1156 = 900 + b²

b² = 1156 - 900

b² = 256

b = √256

b = 16

Hence,

Other side = 16 m

Now,

Area of Rectangle = l × b

l × b = 30 × 16

l × b = 480

ᴍᴏʀᴇ ғᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀs :-

Rᴇᴄᴛᴀɴɢʟᴇ

  • Area = l × b

  • Perimeter = 2(l + b)

  • Diagonal (d) = √l² + b²
