Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length be x unit and breadth be your unit

Then Area of Rectangle = xy

It is given that length and breadth are increased by 1 unit

Then New length = (x+1)

New Breadth =(y+1)

Area of New rectangle = (x+1) (y+1)

= xy + x + y + 1

Difference between two areas will be ( xy + x + y +1) - (xy) =( x+y+1) units

Hope it Helps
