Answer:

Our planet's mass would actually cause its orbit to increase in speed dramatically, our years would be 1/10 what they are now (around 36–40 days) and global temperatures would eventually rise. In about 2000 years or so our oceans would evaporate and all life would die off and Earth would eventually resemble Venus.

Earth's atmosphere would be destroyed and life would not be possible.

Explanation:

  • Since the history of astronomy, the planet is known to have stability in the solar system and is unlikely that the planet will collide with each other. Thus orbit of the planet will remain stable for millions of years.
  • If in case earth and venus exchange their position then earth like the mercury is expected to get more heat and light from the sun.
  • Life on earth would stop as it would be too hot for the life to survive as it will be out of the habitability zone. The earth would experience strong solar wind owing to complete destruction of atmosphere and life.
