Given :- Parth's daily pocket money is $2.50 more than Ruchi's. Each of them spend $8.50 each day and saves the rest, by the time Ruch has saved $ 300, Parth has saved + 120 more than Ruchi, How much is Ruchi's daily pocket money ?

Solution :-

Let ruchi daily pocket money is $ x .

so,

→ Parth's daily pocket money = $ (x + 2.50)

now,

→ Ruchi saves each day = $ (x - 8.50)

and,

→ Parth saves each day = $(x + 2.50) - 8.50 = $(x - 6)

now,

→ Ruchi saved $300 in = 300/(x - 8.50) days

then,

→ Parth saved in 300/(x - 8.50) days = 300 + 120

A/q,

→ (x - 6)[300 / (x - 8.50)] = 420

→ 300(x - 6) = 420(x - 8.50)

→ 300x - 1800 = 420x - 3570

→ 420x - 300x = 3570 - 1800

→ 120x = 1770

→ x = $ 14.75 (Ans.)
