C. China (चीन) was the first country to use letter currency.

Explanation:

• The Currency that we are currently using was first used by the China .
• These letter based currency was called "Flying Notes".
• It was used by the wealthy merchants and government officials in tang Dynasty China( AD 618 - 907)
• Flying money could not be exchanged between individuals nor it was available to the general public.
• Flying Money were documents equivalent to present day bank drafts which could be deposited in the banks.
• The first known paper currency which was available to the local individuals was also created in China during the Song Dynasty.
