let's length of rectangle be = x

breadth of rectangle is = 15cm

then,perimeter of rectangle is =2(x+15)=80

2(x+15)=80

2x+20=80

2x=80-20

2x=60

x=60/2

  • As per thedata given in the question, we have to find the length of the rectangle.

       Given data:- Perimeter=80cm.

                             Breadth=15cm.

       To find:- the length=?

  • Rectangle has four sides, The opposite sides of a rectangle are equal and parallel to each other.
  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 2(length+breadth).

       Therefore, using the perimeter formula of the rectangle, we get,

     Perimeter of rectangle=  2(l+b).

            \Rightarrow 80=2(l+15cm)\\\Rightarrow 80=2l+30\\\Rightarrow 2l=80-30\\\Rightarrow 2l=50\\\Rightarrow l=25cm.

 Hence, the length of rectangle wiil be 25cm.
