From the figure, angles x,40,3x lie on the straight line m.

Therefore, x+40+3x=180

⟹4x+40=180

⟹4x=140

⟹x=35    .------.(1)

From the figure, angles z,3x lie on the straight line l.

Therefore, z+3x=180

⟹z+3(35)=180 (from (1))

⟹z+105=180

⟹z=75    .-----...(2)

From the figure, angles z,y lie on the straight line m.

Therefore, z+y=180

⟹y+75=180 (from (2))

⟹y=105    .-----.(3)

Therefore, x=35

*y=105

*z=75

  • ''l'' and ''m" are the intersecing lines in the given figure

  •  angles x,40,3x lie on the straight line m.

Therefore, {x+40+3x=180}.

⟹4x+40=180

⟹4x=140

⟹x=35   (1)

  • Angles z,3x lie on the straight line l.

Therefore, z+3x=180

{⟹z+3(35)=180 (from (1)}

⟹z+105=180

⟹z=75    (2)

  • angles z,y lie on the straight line m.

Therefore, z+y=180

{⟹y+75=180 (from (2)}

⟹y=105    (3)

Therefore, x=35

y=105 \\z=75
